Short Films

This was the first piece I shot after I got my first camera. It was really just an exploration of what it could do. The music was recorded at Bizmeaux Recording studios when I was working as a Studio Technician at MediaTech Institute in Austin. I received a Gold ADDY award from the American Advertising Federation, and a Special Judges Award for Mastery in Technical and Visual Effects for this piece. Sometimes, you just have to make time for creative experimentation.

This was a really fun project I did with my friend who composes music. Landon Ashby is a phenomenal composer, and I'm looking foward to our next project, coming soon! This was the result of both of our love for Halloween, and our reluctance to go trick-or-treating. Why should kids get to have all the fun? So we shot this in celebration. Turn the lights down low.

Flowers for Annie was the result of a 48 Hour Film Project, the first one ever in Amarillo. If you're not familiar, each group gets the same prop, a line of dialouge, and a character. Then, each group draws a different genre of film and it's off to the races. You have exactly 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and turn in a finished film! Talk about a crazy weekend. When I watch this, I can't believe we finished on time.

My good friend Landon Ashby won Best Original Score.

This is the 2015 submission to the 48 Hour Film Project. This project was different because, besides the writer and the producer, no one else on the team had any experience making a short film, much less in only 48 hours!

This project came in 2nd in city, won Best Special Effects, Best Musical Score (Landon Ashby is awesome), and best Male Actor.
